Bringing the neighborhood together through sports is what HPBSA has been all about since 1962. We play at the best baseball and softball facilities in our area: Coral Reef, Evelyn Greer, Chapman Field, Suniland and Palmetto Bay Parks.
Baseball Divisions start at T-ball and go to the high school level, covering ages 4 to 17. Softball Divisions start at 8 & Under (5 years old) and go to the middle school level, covering ages 6 to 14. Since we are a recreational baseball/softball league and not-for-profit organization, our costs are MUCH lower. We don't travel to other fields and everyone who signs up will be drafted to a team. Every player bats and everyone plays the majority of innings in each game. Your kids are never too old to start!
All players receive a full uniform, team practice equipment (balls, bases), player trophies, umpires for games, and leaguewide events.
Practice and Game Schedule
T-ball (Pre-K and K) - One practice per week (typically around 5pm) and one game on Saturday from 9am - 1pm
Baseball (1st graders and up) - 1 practice per weekday (varies between 5 to 8pm), 1 weekday game and 1 weekend game. Some teams hold 1 weekend practice.
Softball - TBD but most likely 1 practice per weekday, 1 weekday game and 1 weekend game.
Over 200 volunteers, coaches, and division leaders make Howard Palmetto a place where friendships between kids and parents from all walks of life are made.
